This is my first time posting anything and I am very new to raising chickens. We started out with 6...lost a few to my dog and a hawk... some hens turned into roosters..so we are thinking about breeding our hens with the rooster. Our rooster I have attached a picture (we were told an Americauna) and we have 1 leghorn, 2 red stars, and 1 buff orpington. I've never breeded animals before so I'm not sure how it works with chickens. If we breed our rooster with one of these hens...will that be okay? just a funky looking chicken?

All but our Buff Orpington have begun laying eggs.

You can definitely breed those chickens together! Just be prepared to have some strange looking offspring!
