breeding chinese red golden pheasant

I just received my red gold pheasants in the mail, is it a good idea to let them set a day? to let them settle from shipping before putting them in incubator? One more question what is the temp spose to be on in bator?

is the temp 99.8 still air or fan? Also how long is incubation period? I heard a lot of people say 21 days just like chicken eggs but it took 23 days!

It's 99.5 fan,99.8 still air 24-25 days to hatch.

Hi,
I just recently bought a pair of the red golden pheasants. I am trying to find pictures of what the chicks look like. I also have ringneck and black mutant pheasants. Put all the eggs in the incubator and now am not sure which hatched black mutant or red gold. I have raised ringnecks for the past few years, so know what those chicks look like. If anyone could help I would appreciate it. Thanks

If you go and look at another post I have pix of the blk mutant. Red goldens are red with a dark strip on the backs

Thank you. I guess these are black mutants that hatched. They look black/brown and have a white stripe under their beaks.

I just looked at the pics you have, and the babies I hatched don't look like either the black or the reds. It is more brownish then black, has 2 light brown stripes on the back near the tail and has the a little white stripe near the beak. maybe my hen isn't a pure black and is a cross between a black and a golden? Unfortunately at this time I can't post pics of them on here to get someone else's opinion. My camera is not working.
