Breeding Ducks - Keeping Separate and Knowing What You’ll Get

How do you breed more than one breed and know what you’re gonna get?

We let all our ducks stay together. We have several breeds. I know that some people have breeding pens to control who is with who, but then I have to bother with pools.

we have a creek. One idea I have is to section off parts of the creek with poultry netting and separate breeding pairs that way.

I also thought of separating drakes that way or going further down the property to keep them fenced in the water on that side.

I may move to just one breed, but for those breeding multiple breeds, how to you manage the separation?

I have fenced off areas to keep breeds separate. With multiple breeds you have to keep them separated. With one breed you can select the offspring you like.
