Breeding Enclosures

Here is a photo of my breeding setup. they live year round in breed separated pens, i have since upgrade some coops and added a few runs. pens are 5X10,10X10,10X15,10X20. The smaller pens are for bantams and the larger for small flocks of standard size birds. They must be fully enclose due to the many predators where i live (esp flying predators), i seldom am able to free range them unless i am close by.

I have a 10X12 Gable coop with a 4' door in the middle. On the left is the main roosting bar for all the chickens. On the right is the three bottom breeding pens which are 3X4 feet each with a roost and nest. Above are three more with no runs. The bottom runs have an attached 4X12 run with hog fuel arena footing in them to stop mud and also some straw. The runs are made of welded wire and bird netting over the top. I personally would like to add rope to the doors so its easier to let them out because I hate ducking down and getting caught in the bird netting. I will attach a picture below:
