BREEDING FOR PRODUCTION...EGGS AND OR MEAT.

Criminal offense? Wow.
Brother/sister marriages seem to have worked for the Pharaohs- at least for a while!
Weren't they the original ''Canadians"??

Sorry, Just couldn't help myself. If you had even an inkling of what some members of my family are going through right now, you too would kick up your heels and take a well deserved belly-laugh!!!

Hey Turk, glad to see you still around. I'm so sorry about what your family is going through, your dad seemed to be a great man though I never really had any direct dealings with him.

The inbreeding with the Pharaohs worked for a while, but eventually all of the bad recessive genes started catching up with them.

Yeah...including that pesky gene that propelled them to murder one another.

Oh, I guess all families have their 'pesky' little rogue genes....Don't you agree @DesertChic ?

I guess I'll be around for a little while until I get some personal family issues sorted out. Thanks for making me feel welcome...not everyone seems so glad to have me drifting about. I am anxious for my new chicks to get a bit more age and I will be able to put them in their outside quarters, likely by Monday. It will be far easier to get good photos of them.

Even though I'm no longer a kid, I'm finding myself very excited with a new type of bird...(new to me). Pictures can't do them justice , perhaps I'll try to vid. their crazy antics. They remind me of the car full of fat clowns that are in almost every parade around here...squeaking, jumping, bouncing off walls and slapping at each other. Developing some very interesting colors too.

I know my family has plenty of those pesky "rogue" genes. Keeps life interesting if nothing else.

I want to buy point of lay and start from there. I want to avoid brooding because of the challenge I am presently encounting! What do you think?

It's funny, we're talking about inbreeding...... you know when they were casting characters for Deliverance, the guy with the banjo....... well they wanted a guy who looked inbred/ retarded, but wasn't.

How on earth do you advertise for someone like that? You'd have to be pretty happy in your own skin to think, hey, they are talking about me, I'll apply!
I bet you couldn't get away with that now. Can you imagine????????????
