Hi folks. Patrick J. L. here. Dad is well on his way to his destination, leaving me alone to deal with what he calls my folly. I guess he deserves a vacation after all these years. I just hope he don't make good on his threat to stay gone all summer.

Don't look for the video on this thread because the bosses told dad that it would have to be posted on a meat chicken thread. I havent looked for it and I wont waste my time since I'm pretty busy but I do know it was sent in. I still have to send it to a private party in it's entirety as promised by dad. If the bosses won't post it on the site, the classes will be posted on youtube fairly soon. I will check back in to see if they post it or not and leave the youtube link.

Dad said he thinks he might have made a mistake by putting his political views on the bottom of his posts and I think he might be right. He and I share many views so I'm not sure if I would be any more welcome than he was by some people. I will wait for a while before I sign up at least to see if this post is deleted. Dad did take my good computer so he can watch the site, even it he keeps his word about not posting. I am just not sure if he can not chime in so far but I dont see anything yet.

the only computer I have is dad's desk top pc and I don't want to post as him. He gets himself in enough trouble without me adding to it.

THe rules are fairly simple-- basically be nice to each other. THere are ways to share ones views with out overly stirring the pot. A few subjects are taboo: cock fighting, religion, the usual that starts arguments. When you decide to have your own log in, you will have a chance to read the rules otherwise I'm sure they are posted somemwhere . I for one have open ears and am willing to listen-- doesn' mean I agree or disagree, but I'm willing to hear new ideas and willing to try to understand.

Goodness, I would n't be in chickens now if I had stuck with my "NO CHICKENS" decision that lasted 20 years. lol

I'm looking forward to your contributions~ especially concerning the Cackle stock of Dark Cornish. I realize some were part of the capon project but I believe some were kept back for breeding? If that's correct I'll be curious as to their development....temperament, weights, etc.

As Arielle pointed out, just maintain an appropriate level of politeness and everyone will get along. This particular thread has been relatively strife free and enjoyable; a variety of ideas pertaining to productiveness have been shared. I hope it continues

Welcome Jason,

The mods do not control this site, as it is not their site to control. They're just volunteers who merely enforce the rules everyone agrees to when signing up. The owner makes the rules and it is his sandbox. The rules are pretty simple and are in place to allow the place to run smoothly. They're right here: Privacy/TOS

As far as freedom of speech goes, the owner posted this some time ago. Also pretty straightforward: post #1
