Oh yay that gives me hope. She has very spread out feathers thats why.I'm pretty sure that's a hen. The crest feathers are too round (imo) for a cockerel.

Do you know why her top hat might look like that? Is that normal? It's a pullet. A cockerel would have pointed hackle, saddle, and crest feathers at that age.
It looks like she may be missing a couple crest feathers. Maybe that's making her crest look a funny. Some hens also just get a funky crest.Do you know why her top hat might look like that? Is that normal?
Thank you so much on all the info that puts me at ease.It looks like she may be missing a couple crest feathers. Maybe that's making her crest look a funny. Some hens also just get a funky crest.
I'm wondering if anyone had ever bred a silver laced polish roster with a buff laced polish hen & what were the results?
I think its a hen also.Got it thank you!
Someone just told me they think the buff laced is a rooster its 8 months no crowing so I hope its a hen.
Yes its a hen it started laying eggs! Thank you!I think its a hen also.
Not Polish, but someone did that cross with Sebrights (silver laced male x buff laced female). They posted a photo of the chick here:

It's a White Laced Silver (so it looks mostly white.)
Yes! I hatched a few batches already & some will have a black feather in the crest or saddleNot Polish, but someone did that cross with Sebrights (silver laced male x buff laced female). They posted a photo of the chick here:

what would be the result of a silver laced roo and a gold laced hen?Pullets will be silver with white lacing (basically pure white) and cockerels will be pale yellow with white lacing.
