Breeding geese for egg laying

Has anyone ever had this as a goal in their goose breeding? I know Chinese are generally considered the best, but on Metzers they also say their imported production line French Toulouse lay about the same. I'm curious if I were to cross the two and select for egg laying how successful it would be!
Anyone ever bred for egg production?

Nope I haven't but I will say my Production Toulouse female out did her self her first year of laying over 40 eggs next year around 20. her 3rd season about the same 4th she didn't lay and hasn't since. She'll be be 7 in April. Good thing I didn't get her for long term egg laying. She is very special.
