Breeding goldendoodle to a golden retriever

Can you breed a female goldendoodle with a Male golden retrievers and honestly call them Goldendoodles?

My wife, who raises small dogs, says, "yes, it's still a cross between golden retriever and poodle even though the pups would be 3/4 retriever and 1/4 poodle".

However, to people buying the puppies, I'd tell them about the pups being 3/4 and 1/4.
