Hens go broody when you don’t want them to… and won’t go broody when you do. 
I am experimenting with breeding Rangers. I know that they won't breed true but the few I have hatched some and they are growing quickly and look like the parrents. My question is there a lowerhatch rate because they are hybrids? Out of 2 hatchings I have done the hatch rate was bad, butthe Jersey Giant rooster to the Rangers hatched beter.The picture is a ranger/ranger chick. Hatched at the same time as pure giants and it is twice as big as them.
