Soo I have a lot of drakes, absolutely to many... So for when breeding season begins, each will have their seperate pens.

The breeds I have;
2 Runner drakes
3 Muscovy drakes
3 Muscovy girls
2 Cayuga drakes
2 cayuga girls

So I need ideas for the pens... please make it as cheap as possiblee because we must have 9 pens...
One muscovy drake will be in a pen with the 2 girls.
And the 2 Cayuga girls will also have a pen just for them, sometimes we'll put in a drake to mate with them, but otherwise please give me ideas on pens

why not put all the girls in one big pen together with 1 drake? then divide the other drakes into pairs and put them in pens together like that?

Because we want to keep pure breed cayugas + muscovies, and I've asked other people and they've said the drakes might kill eachother even if there isn't any girls with them.
And this is gonna be during breeding season which they're the most aggresive, and i am not taking any riskss

I saw a Muscovy drake kill another drake. These were drakes that were on our mountain river down below us. I would not take the chance with Muscovy drakes penning them up together.
Would the other drakes be able to be together then?? Like having the 2 runners together in one and the 2 cayugas in another, while the muscovy drakes are alone in a pen

My huge Muscovy Drake started mating my poor smaller Mallard/Rouen Drake. I ended up rehoming it because it just over mated anything it could get ahold of. I never knew they would try to mate another male but he surely did as I saw it myself. Good luck with your decision with that many drakes.
