Breeding pen numbers

This will be my first year to attempt the art of breeding peafowl.All birds I will be using will be two years old this spring-summer so expectations aren't that high.Mainly have India Blues,B/S India Blues,Purple hens only(could't get a male to hatch 2 yrs ago) 1 bronze hen,.and a few pieds.
What is the normal number of hens penned with a male? I was planning on a 3 to1 ratio.Can it be higher? Can 2 India Blue males be in the same pen together with 6 hens,if those males have been raised and penned together since they hatched? Thanxs

2yr old male 2or 3 hen good number.older males 4to 6hens.

You need a purple male or one split to puple to get purple male chicks with purple hen as their mate.

Deerman,,I'm now looking for a Purple W/E male to run with the two purple and one purple w/e hen I have.
