Breeding Pens - Dumb Idea?

Panels could be a great idea.
You could even screw them together to be sturdier,
with clearance holes drilled for deck or drywall screws.
That how my brooder and wire wall for coop brooder goes.

Keep in mind if you need access, 4x4x4 pens might be difficult to use.
I assume the birds will be in the pens for a few weeks?
Keep thinking, sketch it out.
Wish I had space to make breeding pens.

I'm still chewing on it, and I've decided 3' tall would be better, so I could step in. Won't matter if I'm putting them on top too. They aren't flighty birds, won't try to bust out.
I don't want to screw them as they're going to be temporary. And if at some point I want to use them for something permanent, I can always screw then.

Guess I'm not quite sure what the point of segregating them is if they aren't going to be absolutely confined, so target birds can't get out and other birds can't get in.
Is it for breeding with a specific cock and/or collecting eggs from specific hens?

Using deck or drywall screws is temporary, easy peasy if framing is prepped properly.
I guess driving, and un-driving, screws is just second nature here, but maybe not for others.

For collecting from separate hens. These girls aren't going tontear apart zip tied pens, they're pretty docile.
Cool...look forward to seeing how it goes.
Do show us your set up with it's inhabitants once you get it going.
Best of cLuck!
Feels like spring here...making me think about hatching....and wishing I had barn to build multiple pens.
