Yes. I always advise breeding bantam roos over standard hens not the other way around.

2. How can a person make/create a new breed or improve on a old breed?
Can you make a new breed? Yes However just breeding them once doesn't make a new breed. It takes good stock and multiple generations before you can even consider them a new breed. Please DO NOT try to improve a old breed by mixing birds. You'll just be mudding up the selective gene pool for that breed.

3.Which parent makes the size of the chick?

They will both play a role in determining the chicks size.

4.What is Dun?

I have no clue

Dun describes to a color of a cow or horse which is a dull grayish brown. This is probably what you are wanting to know.

As a verb, dun can mean to repeatedly ask someone for money in an annoying way.

Dun is an allele of dominant white that dilutes eumelanin (black pigment) into a chocolate colour.

Oh, well that is probably the definition that fits this site & the question. LOL. I know my Dexter cows come in three colors: black, red and dun.

I also tell opponents' attorneys to "quit dunning my client for money."
