Well I hatched some Cayugas that are about 2 months old now and all have new voices. lol In total I am going to have 8 hens and 2 drakes how is that going to work? I have 14 more hatching right now... I am trying to hold on to all the ducklings I hatch to have a larger flock next year. I am hoping for 12 hens and 3 drakes Would that work too? I hope so! Any suggestions?

Those numbers sound good to me based on anything I have read or heard.

The one thing you won't know until everyone has been together for a while is if you have a particularly possessive or greedy drake. But I don't hear of that happening much. Usually, if there are three or more females per drake, the flock should work fine.

I hope your right! This is the first year on any birds I hatched WAY more females than males and Im a happy camper!
