Breeding sex links

I can't watch the video right now, but I've never put stock in the amount of tail feathering in young chicks as a reliable gender indicator. I know some folks swear by it, and I can see it being a part of the whole picture of the bird. But if your genetics are sound, you should be good to go.
 
Thanks, that means if they are all pullets, I'll have to try starting again in the spring time as I need an F1 barred male to continue to the next generation. Thats the problem when you are dealing with small numbers of birds! but at least I will hopefully have a few nice active laying birds for the main flock.
