Breeds for tick management

Human imprinted chickens create problems not encountered in broody raised chickens. If I wanted a new flock, in particular a free-ranging flock, I would want to establish it with young adult, broody-raised chickens
Sorry, I’m not sure what this means. Are you saying I shouldn’t get chicks, but get already mature chickens?

In my experience the only roosters that attack humans are human imprinted, and the only hens I have that visit my neighbors are human imprinted. Chickens that are naturally raised by other chickens don't have these behavioral issues

When a human raises chicks the chicks will inevitably get the two species confused to an extent

We let our egg layer breeds, the cubalayas, and the oriental gamefowl stags free range and we see very few ticks anymore.
