Correct me if I'm wrong but I think the Dominique rooster has a single long white tail feather the rest are barred.Peppers son had a single white tail feather too.Perhaps its a coincidence but maybe Pepper is a Dominique and rhose island cross instead of a barred rock and rhode island?That would explain why peppers chicks have 2 different types of combs too.

You wouldn't get a rose comb if you crossed a barred rock with a rhode island red.
