I have the EXACT same hen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She looks IDENTICAL to yours---got her at an auction! She came with a little baby who is now almost full grown and a female as well. I'm going to count her toes now! lol I'll see if I can get a pic!

Gertrude is a mixed breed. Looks like she may have some Birchen Old English Game. She is NOT an Egyptian Fayoumi. Sorry I can't be more help.

I swear she looks like a cross between a black australorp, a light brahma, and a silkie.

The OEG would make sense, but idk about the silkie or austrolorp, or brahma for that matter. The woman I got her off of didn't have any of those that i know of. She said she thought it was mixed with egyptian, and that's been ruled out. Oh well, like Mahonri said, she is pretty. And she's a good mama, so that's all that matters I suppose. Just would be nice to figure it out!
