When a duck has laid a clutch how long is it before she sits on them

Hi there.

Not sure about ducks... but in my chickens, they will start sitting about the second to last eggs... in other words they start sitting while they still have another egg coming. For them it really is hormonal more than how many eggs they have laid. They will go broody even though I collect the eggs daily.

But some never do.

What kind of duck have ya got?

Depends if the duck even goes broody. If she does, she will sit after all eggs are laid. If she's not going broody, you'll have to incubate them if you wanted to hatch! Good luck, keep us updated!
