Hi all!

I made an order in spring for a variety of Chickens, and now that they're laying, I'm still puzzling over these two. I am confident one of them is an olive egger, but are these two different breeds or the same? If they are different, what is the other breed? I appreciate your time!

Hi! I don’t think either is an Easter egger but the second one I think is a brown leghorn. I’m not sure about #1.

The first one is giving me Easter Egger vibes. The second one doesn't have white earlobes, so I doubt it's a Brown Leghorn. It's most likely either a Welsummer or a Welsummer/Legbar cross that some hatcheries use to make Olive Eggers. It's possible either of them are laying a greenish egg.

Agreed, the second bird is either a Welsummer or Welbar which will lay either a brown speckled egg or an olive egg

The first one looks like a mix. Possible Easter Egger. The reason I say possibly is because she has identical color of my EE but the comb and leg color is not typical of EEs and I don't see muffs or beard. EEs can be mixed from a variety of blue egg laying birds, though, so looks vary.

The second one is either a Welsummer or Olive Egger. Some Olive Eggers are mixed with Welsummers and they can take on a lot of the characteristics.

Oh yes, I forgot about the white earlobes. The pattern looked to bland to be a Welsummer and matched the Leghorn pretty well. The only reason I was not thinking Easter egger was the leg color and head shape and feathering.
