Brewers yeast making 3 week old ducklings sneeze, breath loudly.

Not really any chance of getting heating fixed as we can't afford it right now, the system is very old so if we changed boiler we would have to change the whole system which would be £50,000+ I will get the ACV and se what the vet says. Good plan? I also can get hold of an electric heater for my room how warm should I make it? What ratio of ACV for the ducks?

A teaspoon to a cup or 2 teas to 2 cups you can double it too if you want, it's 1-2 tablespoon to 1 gal of water. It won't hurt them. They are 4 weeks old between 70-74 but drastic changes aren't good so wouldn't take them from 70 to in the 50's yet. Not till fully feathered.

If it's in the 50's in your room and your taking them out of the brooder then yes, you would want the temps to be close in your room as in the brooder, once they feather in then begin to acclimate them to temps in your room. by then you'll not have heat in their brooder then you may want to use it to keep your feet warm

I'd be very careful where you put the heater if you let the lil ones run around in your room though so they can 'tget burned by running into it if it's on the floor.

Hi miss lydia its complicated. They are on the apple cider binegar but it doesn't seeto be making much of a difference, I wrang the vet and as you may or may not know their has been an outbreak of bird flu in Yorkshire. She hasn't actually seen them but she has given me dome worming stuff for them and the chickens, don't know what that means but I will do that then if their is no improvement( which I don't think their wil be) I will wring her again, I think it is just precautionary measures but we'll see.

Mc when you go anywhere come home and change your clothes out in the garage or some outside building, including your shoes wash your hands real well too before going around your ducklings. And that's crazy giving your birds worming meds how could your ducklings have worms they haven't even been outside yet. Wash all your clothing and do this everytime till the bird fly is under control. Have they started destroying peoples flocks yet? Is this flu in the factory farms? How is the sneezing now? keep up with the vinegar though because it is good for their immune systems.

Well if you feel comfortable with your vet then do as she says. I've just never heard of ducklings having worms, what is the wormer called Mc? and I am glad to hear they have it under control but bio security is very important. Happy to hear the sneezing is reduced.
