Brewery spent grains

HI there I remmber recently reading about someone feeding there chickens spent grains from a brewery. Does anyone here know anything about that? Does anyone know of any links or articles about that ? Does anyone feed there birds this? Is it for there main diet or is it supllmental? Thank you so much in advance

I haven't done it but I would have to assume it would only for supplemental feeding - not a main feed. Plus, you'd have to brew a LOT of beer to make it their main feed!

we have a brewery here in Long Beach that will give me as much as i can take......usually give it warmed up in the AM as supplemental feed, but treats as well. they do really enjoy it.
