I’m new to the forum, but eager to show off my coop because I think it came out nice. My design was certainly inspired by the popular “Wichita” style. If you’re interested, I’ve included a link that summarizes my coop build:

That's a great video production for a coop tour,
one of the best I've seen(no yakking),
great choice of visuals and nicely edited!

You've certainly got building skills and the tools to go with it.
Love the home made track fixture.
Why biscuits instead of pockets,
less hardware cost and because 'you can'?
Pocket fixtures look homemade too?

aart--I'm actually a traditional mortise and tenon kind of guy and I just don't like seeing visible pocket holes. However, it is a chicken coop and they do have their place. Biscuits work great for alignment during assembly and it's really the glue that does the job in this case. It really came down to what I had on hand. Plain old nails would have been fine too. Overall, the siding nailed to the frame makes the walls very solid regardless of your joinery method of choice.

Yes, my own pocket hole jigs--just because I like the challenge of doing things the hard way!

BTW: Speaking of the hard way, I even made the windows for the coop...

Here's a little accessory I just made for my coop. It's a food bowl holder that we use to serve the chickens treats, grit, etc...

What kind & size wood did you use for your windows? I was gonna use 1 x yours looks thicker. Nice treat holder!

The rails and stiles used 1-1/4 x 2 inch stock. The wood actually came from a large pine tree that came down in my backyard that we milled a few years ago.
