Bring your "Howdy's" here!

Orange looks awesome if you get the right tone. Our porch is orange. That was one of the two rooms I left the color it was when we moved in. The kitchen was the other room I left what it was painted when I moved in. All the other rooms on the first floor were picked to mesh with those two rooms. House painting is one my talents, that was all left to me when we moved in.

Now, I just have to do window treatments. The metal blinds are only there until I get the fabric and shades I want. I make my own curtains

I wish I could take a trip anywhere this summer. It's looking like DH will be out of the country most of the summer. We aren't complaining though. It's just going to me tending to everything as best as I can

Good morning!
On Saturday my sister and I took the horses to the beach, and we rode them. I hadn't ridden my horse in 1 1/12 years, after I fell off. She is green and needs lots of training, so I'd been working with her some, trying to get my brave back!

The ride went well, and now I have to keep doing it, still has a lot of goosiness to work out.
Sunday I played with GD.
My DH used to travel most of the time for his job. He'd be gone for couple weeks at a time sometimes, home for a day or two, then off again.

to you bluemoon.

Hey, everyone! Hope you all had a great weekend!

Miss Yvonne seems to be doing MUCH better. She loved the oatmeal, yogurt and egg yolk. I found some probiotic capsules and just emptied a few into her meal. Last night she ate a ton of her chick starter and a dish of yogurt, so I think it's safe to say that her appetite is back!

When I went shopping for her I also bought some ACV. It was on sale so I bought three bottles and I'm hoping I got the right stuff. It's organic raw unfiltered, light orange in color with a lot of debris at the bottom. Is that alright?

I was thinking about putting some stuff in the run for Dottie and Simone (who I think is actually a cockerel, LOL) but what can I put in there? They've currently just got a big tree branch that they roost on. I was thinking of maybe putting a big rock in there for them to climb on and then moving in every few days so they could gobble up the bugs underneath. I would love to give them some vegetation, as well. My run has a buried floor so I really couldn't plant anything, not that it would last, anyway! What about a potted plant or shrub? What would be a good plant for them?

My boyfriend took some awesome pictures of the chicks last night! He's going to email them to me so I can post them. Can't wait for you all to see!!!

That's the right ACV rachel. The bottle will say with the mother, or something along those lines. I'm glad to hear that Miss Yvonne is doing better!

ibpboo.. Thanks

I don't mind he travels. We have a system, and it works out well for the most part. The only part we have trouble with is making plans. We really can't plan ahead for much. We've learned if we have to make plans for something, it has to be very flexible. Otherwise, it will turn out a big mess

I didn't mind my DH traveled, that was his job. Sometimes I'd get to go too! To the fun places, like Puerto Vallarta and once for my b-day he took me to Puerto Rico. I also got to see the Canadian side of Niagara Falls, it was so cool. Being way over here on the west coast, I thought Niagara Falls was something I'd never see.

pics yet Rachael?

Rachel--I am glad to hear she is doing better, I was waiting for you to get online to ask. We put some big chunks of firewood in the run for the birds to peck at and sit on and we also put a cut down christmas tree in there. It not only helps on the smell, but they liked to roost on it and sit under it. Otherwise, I just pick fresh grass and stuff and throw it in there for them.

Bluemoon--I hear you about the vacation. Seems like we are rarely all 4 home at the same time in the summer, but yet can't get away together. With work, kid's stuff and now lots of animals to take care of I don't think we will ever get to go anywhere again as a family. We just take a day or so when we can and very short trips! Hubby and son could care less anyway!

ibpboo--Not much experience with horses, but I think a ride would be very relaxing. Sounds like you have been having a very nice summer so far!

I'll go sometimes too. My favorite place out of all of them so far is Argentina.

and I just got a text message from DH. He's at some new hotel that's in the middle of nowhere. He said...No internet, No english TV....This must be some type of pyschological test....

Poor guy
