I am SOOOO glad I liv ein CA for that reason! Avocados are here for the taking all year round.

It was that way when we lived in Miami. I was in heaven. Tomorrow ee are celebrating my birthday (and grandson's) early iour birthdays are the 20th and we are having Mexican food. Yeah I have to cook.. And I bought an avocado to put on my tacos.

When my kids were little they didn't like them and I had them all to myself. Now they will fight me for them.

Not sure if this is the post you were referring to though.

ETA: page 4 of that thread

I just did a search with you as the author and "phoenix" as the keyword...and thar' she was!

There was only 2 threads that came up for that search.

Bluemoon...my DH really likes ANYTHING magic. I'm the type that is easily amazed.

I just can't wrap my brain around any of it to figure out how it's done.

I couldn't at first either. We would sit in front of my grandfather and watch in amazement. Then one day, It dawned on me how he was doing it. So, with a sheepish grin, I started doing the magic card tricks for him. Then I challenged him to a game of Hi Low Jack, and whupped his butt.

I think he was proud of me

I always did the quarter trick for my daughter when she was little. She would look at me all amazed and confused at the same time

Thanks... I like it too. If I were a chicken thats what I would look like! People are really suprised to find out I own chickens.(Iguess because of the way I look)

SAME HERE!!! I mean I don't have chickens YET, just started my coop and have a few prospects, though... But people are VERY judgemental about my tattoos and hair color. It doesn't change who I am on the inside, jeez! BTW, I LOVE your name and avatar and was so ecstatic to see another punk on here! Haha, I'm so cheesy

Also, I'm stoked to have found this thread. I'm new here also, so I haven't figured out who the cool kids are yet. However, on the pit bull rescue forum and rat forum that I USED TO frequent, I was definitely ignored way more than I was answered. Not a nice feeling

And so I don't post there any longer. I know I've already made some enemies on this forum, which was pretty much my fault. I was rude and it was uncalled for. To anybody that I offended or ticked off in that thread, I'm really sorry. That is NOT me. I don't know what got into me.

I actually am quite used to it... I am a city boy.(grew up in Orlando) That has moved out to the country with my wife and 2 daughters. Boy have we caused quite a stir! (I'm punk and my wifes Goth) We now live in a TINY country town in N. Florida, and they are finally getting used to me up at the little feed store. The looks that I got the first time I walked in was hysterical! I mean picture it... A tiny little feed store in the middle of no-where, with all the regulars standing around talking about whatever is is they all sit around and talk about. And in walks this shaved headed, BRIGHT red LONG goat-teed, multiple facial pierced, tattooed and combat boot wearing "wierdo". You could have heard a pin drop!! I get alot of the typical "Yer not from 'round these here parts, are ya?" and "Dang! Did you trip and fall face first into yer wife's jer-ry box?" ( I had to laugh at that one) But I will say, after a while(quite a while) they have gotten used to me... and say "Howdy". I think some of the younger ones just wanted to see how much I would take. The older guys seemed to get used to it quicker than the younger guys did, believe it or not. And the little old ladies around here do seem to LOVE me! But alls cool now. They know I'm a nice guy, and very intelligent. And WON"T take there crap. That seems to havefinally got the younger guys to "friend up". And now they seem to enjoy the fact that they have their own town "wierdo". My daughters had NO problems what-so-ever. I have so many teenage boys sniffing around my door! But the difference is these country boys are SO polite and respectful! compared to the boys that came around in the city! I think it's because their daddy's will WOOP their butts! So all in all I really love it out here.

Good Morning! What a gloomy day!! Good day to stay in and finally get my house cleaned! I guess I slept thru the storm! I use to be a light sleeper and heard everything. DH says there was lighting and thunder, I really think he's trying to put one over me!
