No luck at convincing my dad to start the coop today, but he said he will start on it while I am at work tomorrow, so we shall see how that goes

If I had the skills I would go out there right now and work all night! (and make neighbors upset) lol

For those of you who are tired of the hassles of covering your plants to protect against frost try placing a 5 gallon pail over them at night then remove it in the morning. It large enough to cover quite a large plant and only takes a few minutes to cover and uncover. I bought several for a buck each at a bakery.

Good morning everyone! I have to doctor up my husband today! He has an abcesed tooth. His face is all swollen, poor thing.

He never gets sick, so this is a big thing for him!! We don't have any insurance, and we "make to much" for the free clinic,

so I have found some antibiotics here that I did not finish and gave him those. I am going to use warm compresses too. I hope they work, cause if not we are going to the ER. That is going to be hard, because it costs sooo much! Wish me luck!!

Me too! I figured its a site for people with chickens, that had questions... but am finding out its pretty much a social gathering for a select few. Alot seem to know each other and thats all that gets responded to. Oh, well... I only get on here to ask some silly questions anyways.(I guess) Not to socialize, I do that in person. Its not my lifes quest, to be one of the Chicken Elite! But there do seem to besome cool people on this thread. So, how goes it there in Canada, eh?(sorry, couldn't resist!)

It did feel like high school!

It was not fun then, and it isn't now. I just think they are rude and have no class. If they want to sit and talk to each other, there's the phone! And it's sad... how they make people feel. Maybe they didn't realize it, but they hurt lots of people.
I got to go and take my dogs for their walk. They love it.

Oh Shelley.....we go five chicks!!! All the eggs hatched.

They are doing so good. Funky is being a very good momma.

I just went to check on mine, and our baby roo gandalf is up to the same antics. He starts a stare off with the two biggest girls, and they tell him..." Oh no you didn't! " and chase him off. He runs screaming like a little girl, and does it again! Silly boy
