Ahhh! Busy day at work!

My weekend was good, thanks hypnofrogstevie! We had a lot of fun working on the coop. It was very frustrating at first, because we aren't following any plans, just kind of winging it! He wanted to do a lot of things one way, but didn't understand what would and wouldn't work for the chickens. Trying to explain to him what I wanted and, more importantly, what they needed was tough. Once we started looking at pictures and drawing diagrams we came up with a good design using both of our ideas. This is also good for us as a couple! We're learning a lot about each other, and ourselves, and also discovering that we work really well as a team! Good stuff!!!

So the poultry show was fun? That's great! I read that you got a new bird. Awesome!

It used to be the hubby and son did their thing, daughter and I did our thing, but now we spend so much time with the birds and each other it has been really nice. Last weekend I even drove the posts for the goat pen, helped build the house and painted it myself (with a little help from the goose). I was so proud of myself!

Oh, and cute coops, everyone!!!

PRC, that's funny about the Docs! I stepped in dog poo once with mine and wasn't near a water source so getting it all out was a task! I pretty much wear Chuck Taylors or Vans slip-ons for everything now and I'm not sure I want to sacrifice a pair for coop duty!

Ooooh, what flavor?! I don't know where you live or if the ice cream chain Praline's is present there, but if it is there's a flavor you have to try!! It's called Beez Kneez it's a honey graham flavored ice cream with graham cracker crumbs and chocolate covered honey comb bits! Be careful though, it's so easy to get addicted!

I'm well! Work is a little nutty today but I can't wait to go work on my coop!!!
