You are right I've been outside and at friends house most of this weekend. I got some plants ( tomatoes, and cucumbers) at destiny's farm, and met some nice folks. I'll be getting more veggies and fruit over the next couple weeks as a I plan out where I'm putting things.
I also got some creeping phlox. I went back today get some more, but I waited because they'll have some more colors soon. I'm still need some more groundcovers and perennials. I'm going to have to sit down and look through some garden catalogs that Joni has for more ideas.
I also spent 3 hours last night weeding some perennial beds while being eaten alive by mosquitoes. The garden beds were severely neglected by previous owners, so it's got the biggest nastiest weeds I've seen yet.

Bluemoon, I've got several beds that I have planted sedum. The stuff is beautiful and can quickly fill in a bed. Also take a look and periwinkle, ground hugging, spreads quickly. If you want some of either I have lots that I'm going to pull out and toss very soon.

Good morning everyone! Hope all of you are fabulous today!

Chickenfamily...I'm putting tomato plants in my flower beds this year, too! I've heard that they do wonderfully with roses.

Bluemoon...I've always wanted to go to Destiny's Farm to see their chickens. Did you take a look at them while you were there?

Well, I'm off to go outside for the day. I'm trying to get my Colored Rangers acclimated to being outdoors. I need those guys to start ranging!

Catch you all later!

They have an awesome rooster named Hotshot. He'll roll out the red carpet for ya, and announce your arrival. At least he does for me, when I go into one of the greenhouses

I got my chickens from her March and April. She doesn't have the cochins I've been looking for. Joni is still catching up on her 13 page waiting list, but I think she has some hatching today. ( They've been really busy) All of mine are doing very well, and very healthy.
I love their greenhouses. Joni does all the flowers while Mike is the veggie/fruit guy. If your looking for something obscure, he's got it. I got some different tomatoes this year. I wanted variety.
I was going to grab some more purple creeping phlox, but Joni has white and pink started, so I'm waiting for those.

Chickenfamily1978...The rose of sharon looks nice too

Thanks for the suggestion

I posted for ya as well PRC. Today, I don't have too much planned other than quiet reflection, wishing my Dad some peace and happiness, and get some neglected house work done from the past couple of days
