It sucks when you loose chicks before the hatch. I just got some Black Copper Marans in the mail today, and Iam so freaked out, cause they cost me a pretty penny. What the heck was I thinking???!!!!

I have NEVER paid so much for eggs. Well all I know is those suckers better hatch and poop gold nuggets!

My guinea chicks are driving nme crazy! I moved the chicks out because they need different food. Well these guineas are crying soooo loud and won't shut up! I gave them a turkey poult to play with, but they still aren't happy.

Hey, my foster kittens are doing better! I'm still pretty worried about 2 of them, though they are a bit more active than they were the other day. I'm giving them a big syringe feeding twice daily and leaving them with surrogate mommy the rest of the time. Hopefully they all pull through! I can't even bear the thought of losing one.

GOOD NEWS! I *MIGHT* be getting a Polish or 2!!!! I don't want to spill the details and jinx it haha but I'll know on Saturday one way or the other! It's going to be nearly impossible not to get my hopes up!!!

I think the kittens will pull through! If you are supplementing their feedings then they ought to be big and fat before you know it! Always the optimist!!

My sister emailed me yesterday about some cats and kittens that animal control has rescued. They are so cute, I wish I could get one. But with five dogs in a small mobile home, I don't think it would be good for the kitten. I found a feral kitten outside in my yard last year, and my dogs were ok with her, but this foster is a pain.

I am so surprised he hasn't eaten my chinchillas!! Him and the goat are friends now, they go on "walks" together!!

My dog found this very large turtle trying to get into his fenced in area. The poor turtle was terrified, and hid in it's shell. I had to find my heavy duty gloves ( I think it was a snapper) and move the poor guy to the wooded area in back of our property. I've been checking on him to make sure he's moved along, and he finally has

Poor thing stayed in his shell for about two hours before he decided it was safe....

SUCH a sucker... I named her Meatball and she's ADORABLE! She's white with tiger patches and I think she'll be medium haired. I thought I was the only looney toon with five dogs! Haha! Actually, there are these people down the road from me that have 21 GSDs!!! They keep taking them from people who don't want theirs anymore, but instead of having the dogs fixed they just allow them to breed! It's nuts! I was on my way to work a few months ago and a few of their older puppies were in the road. Two of their dogs have been hit within the past year. We're in a big thing with them at work. They're supposed to have a kennel license, but don't have enough property per dog, plus they don't own their property. We would have left it alone (we did for years!) until the hit by cars, pups in the road, neighbors complaining about excessive feces, dogs fighting all over the yard, etc. We told them that we'd help them get down to a more managable number and at first they were cooperative, but then they got a lawyer and tried to sue my boss!!! It's a tough situation because I live, literally, right down the road. Blah. Anyhoo... ADORABLE that your dog hangs with the goat! I wonder how my dogs would react. I have a couple that I think would be petrified of a goat for a while! They're also afraid of my cats...it's ridiculous!

Bluemoon, good for you for helping the snapper! So many people just kill them, it's disgusting! Big tough guy that could snap an arm in half was really just a big old scaredy cat! Haha too cute

hey peeps! Had the ducks outside for a bit and they loved it. Tomorrow after work I am going to let out some of the new chicks outside.
