I'm back... Well I'm not dying.

I have the flu.(tail end of it) And they think I have a bulging disc in my back. Want me to get a MRI...Yeah right, like thats gonna happen. I've been dealing with it for years, only gets reall bad once in a while. But he did give me some good medicine! Paty, too bad your hubby didn't have these for his tooth! Hydrocodone? Would not have felt ANYTHING! AND the rain has actually STOPPED!

I guess I can get some work done in the yard now! Medicine stopped back pain, and I don't really feel sick anymore and NO rain. WooHoo!

I also posted this question on the "other" board but want to ask you guys the same question since I dont usually get too many responses over there.

So here it is.....



I just wanted to get some opinions on which kind of feed I should use. I have 5 month old birds and have fed them Purina Chick Start and Grow since they were a day old. I will be switching them to Layer feed in a few weeks and while at a different feed store than I usually use I seen that they carried F R M(?), and it was like 1/2 the price of the Purina! I have a small flock, 11 chickens and a duck, so I don't mind paying more. But if the F R M is equal in quality I would prefer to switch. Any sugestions. I DONT want to feed them junk, I care for them alot and want to give them the best feed. Even if it costs alittle more. The feed store wants to sell their feed so I don't think they would be totaly honest.

So glad you're not dying, PRC! Don't be silly and work yourself too hard! Just because you can't feel the pain doesn't mean it's not there!!



Soooo guess what guys....

I'M GETTING A COUPLE OF 6 WEEK OLD HOUDAN BANTIES!!!!!!

I just found them on craigslist. This woman ordered the eggs online and hatched them. Not sure what color they are and don't really care but HOPEFULLY they're mottled! I can't believe I found them!!! Hopefully they're gals or someone else will have a couple cute houdan roos haha. At least I'll know pretty soon what they are. I'm picking them up next week. And hopefully I'll get my Polish this weekend, too! That's half of my flock, right there! STOKED!!!!

Oh, one thing this woman said is that one of the Houdans has a crooked beak that hasn't affected him/her so far, but she can't guarantee anything. Any experience with this?
