That would be perfect! I raised my first ducks in one before we got their pen built. We took the bottom out of it and I still use it as a chicken tractor for the little ones. How old are the birds? Our dogs are penned, but once the cats got over the initial curiosity, they really don't bother the chickens. In fact, they are downright scared of them!

The chicks are 7 weeks old. I couldn't find a hutch on Craigslist and they're coming home Friday! Oh well, it'll either be the dog crate or the Tupperware for now. I think a couple of my dogs and my two cats will also be afraid of them LOL. My roommate's cat, on the other hand, is going to be a little jerk as usual!

I realize that, but I may be getting 2 adult birds on Sunday and I figure it would be easier to keep the 2 babies inside for quarantine and let the big girls have the coop, you know? Otherwise I'll have 2 adult Polish running around my house and that just doesn't work for me LOL
