Rachel I am sooo glad you found what you were looking for. That is awesome.

Justino, you will do fine on the job hunting, just do like Rachel says and it will be great. I will not share my views on job hunting and interviews right now!

This thread sure is growing. Lots of nice folks checking in, helping each other out, sharing stories. Nice, real nice.

Bluemoon, the cows that have freaked out your daughter are the same as the Highlander's original avatar.

Justino, no need to be nervous about appling for jobs. Just be neat, clean and polite. An old rooster's opinion that you might not care to hear, but it might be wise to not wear your tackle box when applying for jobs. Many employers look at how they think an employee will interact with customers and they might be concerned that the piercings may offend some people. That might not be fair but it is a reality. Sometimes self expression must take a back seat to gainful employment. Good luck.

Rachel--I use a playpen as a brooder most of time for the babies or if I have just a few I use a tote.

Justino--You will do great! Just be polite and do your best!

Paty-- The baby goats are doing fine, but Mom kept Bailey when I came back. I visit her every night when I go back over there and eventually she will come home, but Mom has really enjoyed taking care of her. Bella is mad because we haven't been home enough to give her attention.

I just got back from taking some of my animals to a petting zoo at a preschool for the FFA. We took Bella, Bailey, Nester (the goose), Norman (the duck), 2 turkeys, 2 turkens and 3 polish. Mind you, we loaded these guys up in my van to bring to town! Nester honked the whole way, but he loves car rides!

The german shepherd in that picture is the one we just lost. Everybody is still depressed about that. Our house is like a tomb, and DH misses him a lot.

Opa, Those are the same cows. She just was just freaked out they were so close

She does think the baby cows are cute. She did like the elk we had down the road. She would sit there for hours and watch them if she could.

I just got home from Dearborn after being stuck in traffic on 275/96 for an hour.

I need a cup of coffee, and I think I'm going to have some stuffed sole with scallop and lobster tonight after that whole ordeal

Before I retired I had to make the Westland to Howell commute. Sure glad to not have to do that anymore. Seems like everytime I go that way there's a traffic jam.

I totally agree with opa. I have lots of piercings, and I take them out when looking for work. Which unfortunately I'm doing right now. I was laid off about 5 weeks ago. Even with the type of work I do, you can wear them. But I still take them out when applying for work, and put them back in after getting hired and being there for a bit and seeing if other people are wearing theirs. I will ask after the interview, when they ask if you have any questions, if they allow them. Like I said, in my line of work you usually can but it is still proper to ask.
