I think it's a good idea to name all your birds. Since I not very imaginative, and I'm getting old and my memory isn't what it once was so I have had to give some of them the same name. Like Lunch #4, supper #7. Well you get the idea.

I don't really have much advice for that since my family isn't very close in the first place. My grandma passed away a couple years ago. We miss her, and she was in the hospital for awhile too. We made sure she was comfortable, and not suffering in anyway. That's all we could do.

Opa... cute names

our chicken names so far...( bantams don't have any yet) are Merle ( she was the transgender chicken) Gandalf, Dotty the psycho buff orp, Henny Penny, Greta, Tiny Teena, Sarah, Snowflake, and the three RIR's... Ruby, Rhody, and Rhonda.
I think we might name one of the OEG bantams Ginger. The others dunno yet

Chickenfam, I'm sorry to hear about Grandpa. I'll be sending healing thoughts his way. Shame on the others for not helping care for him! That's awful. You and your husband are awesome for doing that and Grandpa knows it.



So the names I picked out are names that I thought sounded like they belong to hens. Henrietta (duh, haha), Hazel, Dolly, Delilah, Petunia and Matilda. I thought I only had a few. I like to have options though, so what are some more?

Which do you all like the best? I'm getting a total of six chickens. I definitely love Dottie, Chairry, Penny, and Chicky Baby. Maybe even Simone and Pee-wee.

We named her Dotty because when she barely a week old, she had a dot on her head. Her sister henny penny didn't. We could tell them apart by personalities alone, but Dotty stuck.

Names are hard for me. Right now I have Tiny, Frenchie, Rocky, Cindy, Ameila, Shelly and Mandy. I still need to come up with 2 more pullet names. They are hard to name because they look alike! I can't tell them apart!
