I have been known to add cedar to the pine just to make it smell a little better and we have used straight cedar for our meat birds. I think it is okay if it is well ventilated and it isn't done over and over again. You will find many different opinions on here, and it may drive you crazy, so you will just have to decide for yourself what is best.

Your welcome Neb

They don't really eat eggs for breakfast in Italy. He only gets them at the hotel he is at because the owner loves him. Anyone else at the hotel gets normal no eggs for you Italian breakfast.

What is hubby doing in Italy?

He's there for work. He'll be home a week, and then back to Italy for 2/3 weeks. He's been flying between Avelino, and Naples at different production plants.

Morning/afternoon!! Well, I have good news x2. First, I finished the Love Shack/Poulet Chalet! And I found an old dog pen that my Mother-in-Outlaw used to keep her yappy little mutts in, it is PERFECT size for the run! But now I have to wait until I can get some help to move it from the garage to the backyard before I can let the Silkies into there new crib. OMG, it is SO heavy! I went to Lowes this morning and was pricing some Castor wheels but the size I will need are pretty pricey... $21.00 apiece. So thats gonna have to wait. So far all I have in receipts for it is $31.57... Not bad, huh?
Second... I got a NEW Bearded Silkie pullet! She is beautiful, I got her from KellyHM here on BYC who got them from Bobbi Porto. Who aparently a breeder of show Silkies. She is a show quality lavender splash. She is about 4 weeks younger than my others, but she is twice as fluffy already. And the most tame one I have ever seen. She LOVES to be right there with you. Last night she sat with me in the recliner for about 2 hours. She snuggled up under my chin and went to sleep. She is officially now my favorite. My wife took pics of us both sleeping, I will try to get them off her phone and post them. Wierd pic...My ugly Mug and the cutest Silkie together. And her trying to pull out all my piercings!

Rachel--Thanks! We tried to get pics but the little buggars are fast! And the goose keep getting in the way, trying to "protect" them. I swear he/she would have handed out cigars last night if he could have! Nothing is cuter than seeing those little babies following their mommy around the pen! And Happy, Happy Birthday tomorrow!

Bluemoon--Sounds like an interesting job, but I don't like to fly, so I that would definitely leave me out!

yeah, but we get frequent flyer miles, so in the end it all balances out. He goes thru suitcases like water. He just got a brand new one, and it didn't even last one trip.
