How goes it for you? I love the "do" pics! So, I overslept this morning, was about 45 minutes late for work. We are working on some remodeling and it is wearing me out! Hubby and son have to be packed for camp by tomorrow morning instead of Sunday (they just informed me of that). Going to go out at noon and get the paint for daughter's room and try to find some Mizzou gold for the hallway. Destiny and I are going to do some major painting while the boys are away next week!

I'm finishing the last of DH's laundry to be put in the suitcase for tomorrow. Our neighbor is having a grand opening for their equestrian center next door. We are invited to the VIP party tomorrow, but DH is flying to Italy tomorrow. We will be popping in tonight for him, and I'll pop in tomorrow after I drop him off at the airport.

other than that, it's a laid back day

I am going to put in my time at work and try to sneak out early to get started on helping them pack. Have to work a few hours in the morning, get them sent off Sunday morning and start on the painting! They don't think we can get it all done, but we want to prove them wrong. Problem being, they left us with all the animal chores too, so that might be a challenge! And I am in charge of the Colgate Country Showdown (country music talent) that will be next Saturday, so it will be busy on that front too. Good news is that I think my older baby goat might have actually weaned herself and is now eating like a big girl!

Good morning, all!

I think my new little Polish pullet might be ill. I noticed last night that she isn't eating and she feels thin. Her crop was empty and her food looked untouched. When I first brought her home she was eating regularly. Her droppings look pretty normal. Where should I begin? Deworm?

Just by guessing, I would try this first too. Are any of the others picking on her? You might want to consider moving her out by herself for a while anyway until she feels better.

I'd get some give her yogurt mixed with chick starter plus I'd add a 1/2 tsp of probiotic powder. I top dress the feed of your other chickens with probiotic powder or mix it in there water. It will help the overall health of your flock. It's much easier to use and cheaper than trying to give your entire flock yogurt.
