Brinsea Eco Vs. Brinsea Advance?

I would recommend the Octagon20 Advance, because it can be upgraded to the EX model with humidity pump later; the Eco model cannot.

I have three (3) Octagon20 Advance EX units, two (2) MiniAdvance EX units and one (1) MiniAdvance. (The MiniAdavnce cannot be upgraded toan EX model.)

Love my Brinsea incubators!

For your needs, I would definitely go with the Eco!

Thanks for all the input, I am comparing the Eco oct. with a auto turner to the Oct. advance. I have a code that gives 10% off so the ECO with turner is 135 I had not thought about the fact I could get two for the price of one advance, thats just plane dangerous I could be in chicks up to my but, and minus one wife, I could see myself getting a little carried away. lol

Yes. Shipped from Washington State to the Coast of Maine.
30 Total:
12 Welsummers
18 BBS Marans

Broke one Wellie when setting. Of the 29 remaining, 24 made it to lockdown - the others were clear.
Of the 24, 17 hatched:
8/10 Wellies hatched
9/14 Marans hatched

Steve

ETA: 3 more of the Marans began to zip but stopped...

That's good shipped egg results ... I just found the new Brinsea coupon code and jumped in, bought an Oct-Eco 20 + turner
has to be a better incubator than my old Hovabator ... looking forward to trying it out with my next hatch.

as stated before... the advance allows you to have the humidity pump attach on... the eco does not.

I am buying an eco. because I've heard great things and don't have the $$$. I can live with out the cool bells and whistles.

I LOVE my Eco 20...........I'm pretty sure I'd like the Advance even more (and had inteneded to purchase one)......but financial considerations are everpresent, so I'm looking to add another Eco model so I can do continuous hatching.

I've become an addict.

Bottom line, you can't lose with either of those 'bators.

Well I decided to order the Eco model with the auto turner with shipping it came to 170. I figured with at most a couple hatches a year this should do fine Thanks for all the advice this is the best forum I have ever run across!!

I just ordered one myself last night. 170.00 is a good deal I was gunna go with a 1588 hova bator with autoturn, that would have cost even more so I couldnt pass up this deal.....
It seems most stryrfom bators get mixed reviews but the eco 20 get thumbs up from every one.....
Looking forward to lot-o-baby chicks.
