Brinsea Ecoglow 20

Mine at about a week old will stop going under on the lowest setting. If I can say I have an issue with it, it would be that they seem to at every cycle reach a point that is in between the available height settings. I use wash cloths (because shavings get squished and shifted and terrace them with the thickest folds to the back if the brooder. the heartier chicks Kay toward the front and the smaller in the back. If I have chicks standing to sleep I add a layer of height. once half are sleeping out front, I remove towel layers. when they are out front again, I raise to the next height and add the towel terrace again. They really do regulate themselves very well.

Right now I have ameracaunas, gold laced brahmas and olive eggers (FCMx ameracaunas) in the brooder so three breeds of varying size hatched a day apart. they are soooo quiet when satisfied. usually if I hear cheeping, its time for an adjustment.
