Brinsea Maxi II Ex - Evaporation Card Size

I’m setting up my Maxi II Ex incubator and had a question. The printed manual in the box said to cut the evaporation card to 1 3/4in by 5in. I did that and put it in the water pot as stated (folded in half and making sure the ends reach the bottom of the water pot). When I put the top of the incubator on, then the evaporation card sticks up and hits the incubator top and I don’t know if the incubator is completely sealed. I found a manual online and it says the evaporation card should be 4in long. Should it be 4 or 5 inches long? I can cut off an inch. Also the width is a little too much too (I had to bend the evaporation card to fit it inside the water pot). Thank you for your help!

Hello! According to the user manual the card needs to be 1 3/4 x 4 inches.

Thank you @BrinseaUS. I’m excited to be trying out my new incubator. I’ll cut the strip an inch shorter. The user manual in the box said 5in length but it does seem like it needs to be shorter. Thank you for clarifying!
