Brinsea mini eco or mini advanced

Sigh! Lost all. Will try again.
Also getting a 2nd incubator. The Brinsea mini advanced. Trying chicken eggs in one and 3 Sebastopol Geese eggs in the other.

I'm sorry :( So sorry I couldn't be of any help. Better luck next time! I just got a baby Romen Tufted Gosling. Her name is Cassie :)

Good luck!! Pleeaaasee keep me updated. Excpecially when your babies hatch ;)

I have a brinsea mini advance. After a 3/6 hatch I have been doing some study on what I did wrong. 1 never pipped, 2 pipped but never hatched out. I'm glad someone mentioned taking out the inner tray and hand turning. I had my turner set to 'on' instead of 'auto,' and didn't even think to turn it off on lock down. I also added way too much water before lock down, so my humidity was too high the whole time. Now the chicks that did hatch are healthy, but not as active as the others I've hatched. Idk if it's because they're a different breed. (Blue Australorp, as opposed to easter eggers) or because there's just 3 of them, or if the high humidity has also affected them. They're 5 days old and mostly just sleep in a pile in the brooder. Or at least it seems that way when I peek in. I could be over anxious about that! Anyway. I reset all the settings on the incubator in case I try again. I'm feeling bad about my mistakes. But hopeful I'll do better next time.

Two brinsea Mini advance incubators
for sale

Was going to put these in buy sell trade but I can't do that on my cell phone so I'll post them here .I have a new cabinet incubator so I don't need these anymore. there are two available. 1. you can download the user manual from http//www.brinsea.com
1. It's 125.00, as I just found the large egg turner for it.
2. has the large egg tray and the original manuals its 125.00
I have never had an exploded egg in them. never had a dead or sick chick on my property or in my incubators. I used them for two seasons. Worked great! I just don't need them anymore. these are dirt cheap prices I checked the Net they sell for $216 new; 150.00 used ,everyday. I am losing money on both of them. I need a good quality automatic egg turning tray for the cabinet incubator. will lower the price $15 if you have one you want to swap out as part of the deal . we'll figure out some way to pay for it if you're interested. private message me on BYC and we can work something out. Great starter incubators each one hatches 7 eggs automatic everything.
To read the user manual go to brinsea.com website.

Note: these are the Brinsea Mini Advance not the Brinsea Mini II Advance.

Yes I could sell for 140. or 150. but I can afford to let them go to at a lower price ...and it just upsets me that these people are charging such outrageous prices just for 7 egg bator. I mean really, 216.00!! so I priced mine at what I think is a sane price.

I just realized the water pot covers on both these incubators are missing. I lost them years ago
I just made my own each season. that's the little yellow disc that fits over the top of the water well so no chick drowns itself after hatching. I just made my own and threw them away each season. if you decide you have to have the water pot cover it's 4.99 down at Brinsea in Florida. ( 1-321-267-7009) I'm going to keep the prices as they are. the prices are nice and one can make a water pot cover easy.

Update: sale pending on incubator number 2. thank you

That sucks. It's ok, a 50% hatch rate isn't all that bad. People make mistakes, and it's ok. I set 40 duck eggs and none hatched! As it turns out, it was just my incubator wasn't working right. Better luck next time!

Thank you! Maybe it was God's way of saying 'you have enough chickens.' :)

I was going to suggest this to someone else on here, too. I have 2 Brinsea Eco 20s. I have 1 turner and use one as a hatcher or both and then turn it manually (so easy in the Eco 20, just turn the entire box!).
I wanted a mini Eco for my sister's classroom. Let's be honest, the advanced is way expensive for 7 eggs and that's bantam (have you hatched LF and seen them crouched inside, hitting their heads?). Anyhow, I bought one and it was not maintaining temp and humidity!!! It was a nightmare after having such amazing control on the others. Little Giant was blood rings all around, but I digress. After a couple of days of tortured chicks that were about to hatch and transferred into the Mini, to hatch in the classroom... chicks couldn't push out because there was no room and after so many hours they were becoming encased. The humidity couldn't be measured unless u do as I did and put the hygrometer under the edge of the side and still this was unreliable (top goes right to the fan). It was awful. Brinsea later said i should have done other things as the thermometer sounded broken and needed to be reset. I didn't know glass thermometers could have faulty readings... Still, how do you know the temp is off, unless you can compare to your other thermometers & I couldn't. Eco 20 all the way!
