Brinsea Oct 20 humidity control module question

I just bought an Oct 20 with a humidity control module used. It didnt come with the "paper" that you use. The paper that the module trickles water on. What would be a good substitute for that paper. I tried folding layers of papertowles but it didn't seem to work well. I can't get the humidity up above 40%.

You can try using a few big long sponges to increase the surface area.

Thanks for the advice about the sponges. I am trying to get it all set up for my eggs that I just purchased.

I was thinking about using those flat sponge sheet type things as the replacement paper since it would have more surface area than towels.

The last time I saw them I was at an asian grocer. But perhaps a dollar store or maybe even a craft store would have them too?

I just use strips of terrycloth cut from an old towel.
