Brinsea Octagon 20 Advance EX 24 eggs?

I can fit 31 just fine without the rails and I do remove once they hatch as they dry up.

I ask got 31 eggs in there.

AVHalls & Ariel188, I assume these were regular sized eggs? Did you find it difficult to keep temp and humidity steady with that amount of eggs?

Yes they are regular sized eggs (SFH and Brahmas) however several of them are from pullets and were mailed as extras. My temp is holding fine between 99.4 to 99.6. My humidity is holding steady at 40% to 43%. These are good numbers right?

Yes, regular size eggs from Marans, EE, CL, OE and Brahmas. No problem keeping the temperature and humidity right.

Great to know:) So the incubator arrived today & it took me a couple hours to get it ready but was able to fit 42 bantam eggs in it. I'm thinking of getting another machine as a hatcher--any recommendations?

Make sure you calibrate it. It might read the right temperature but might not be accurate. Do you have a thermometer that you can out inside to check the temperature?
As far as a hatcher, I like the Brinsea Eco manual.

I like to keep temp at 99.5 & humidity between 40-50. My only worry is without the humidity pump, may not go up high enough the last 3 days..?

I heard the humidity should not be a problem when filling both channels with warm water, and placing a paper towel rolled up into one channel to help with the humidity. We will see, this is my first!
