Brinsea octagon AD, or King Suro 20?

I was looking at the exact same two incubators, and ended up going with the Suro.

We're inexperienced hatchers, and we're also frequently gone during the day, so I wanted an idiot-proof incubator that I could "set and forget." I ended up deciding on the Suro because it had all the features of the Brinsea, at about $150 price savings.

We just finished up a VERY successful hatch in the Suro, and we're thrilled with it. We set 18 duck eggs, tossed one clear at Day 7, and had 15 of the remaining 17 hatch. During the 28 day incubation, the incubator held temperature and humidity rock solid. We even left it for a week to go on vacation, and it never wavered.

I just cleaned it up today for our second hatch-- clean up was SO easy.

Put it back together and re-set it, thinking I'd want to run it for a day to let it stabilize before I put the new eggs in on Monday, but I shouldn't have even worried-- it reached rock solid temperature and humidity within a few hours. If I had my eggs right now, I'd pop them in without a worry.

I can't imagine the Brinsea's not an equally excellent machine, but for the savings, we've had a great first experience with the Suro!
