Broad Breasted White

I just ordered 6 BBW from Ideal poultry that should be shipped out on April 11.

Are there any tips on raising these guys?

I know they get big fast, but I dont plan on letting them get huge before butchering..

Feed them on at least 26% protein gamebird starter. 28-30% is better still.

The first three days are critical so make sure they're comfortable (not too hot or cold) and very sure they are eating and drinking. You may have to dip their beaks in the water several times over the course of the first day. I use the bottom half of an eighteen count egg carton to feed with the first few days. Just fill the cups, then set in the bottom of the brooder on a paper towel. Dip their beaks then set them down on top of the feed. Do that each time you dip.
