Broken beak after attack

My 3yr old hen baby was attacked. She lost her crown has a huge gash in her thigh and a broken beak. I have been giving her 500mg amoxicillin,ointment over her wounds. My concern is she cannot eat. I have been giving her baby food watered down with a syringe. She is not having chicken feed watered down I think it is the consistency. Is there any thing anyone has used like baby formula, kitten milk?
I was going to cull her but she got up and showed such a strong will to live I think I have a house chicken. After I cleaned her up and dressed her wounds she got up and proceeded to walk around the house! I have her in a playpen since she likes to explore.
Any help, experiences, would be greatly appreciated.

If you are tubing her, you can use Kaytee Exact Baby Bird Formula.

Sounds like she's being well cared for and you're treating the wound appropriately.

What attacked her?

Just keep working with her, keeping her fed and tending to her wounds. Chickens can be resilient and overcome severe injuries.

Sounds like she's being well cared for and you're treating the wound appropriately.

Just keep working with her, keeping her fed and tending to her wounds. Chickens can be resilient and overcome severe injuries.

I think a possum but it is a guess really. Do you think there is enough beak to grow back?

I doubt it was an opossum. I know they get blamed for killing chickens quite a bit and I thought they killed my chickens because they were at the scene of the crime in the mornings. However, I have on trail camera footage several instances where a raccoon killed my chickens, the raccoon left and then the opossums showed up afterwards. I did have lots of trail cam activity where the opossums were around the chickens, had perfect access and every opportunity to kill chickens (even little chicks) and they were not aggressive in the least to my chickens. The only thing the opossums were interested in were eggs, chicken feed and drinking out of the waterers. I even had an opossum sleeping in a camp chair with a chicken roosting on the back of the chair. This was when we first moved here in the dead of winter during Covid when all of the supply shortages were happening and had no choice, but to put the chickens in the main barn before we sealed everything up. My chickens are in a different area now that is protected.

I saw a possum in my "stray" cat's food but I really think it is a dog that is the culprit from the deep bite wound in her thigh. It is as bad as her face! She really is an inspiration to me, I would be laid up for sure. She is still up being a chicken.

Great story! It definitely gives me hope that she can figure a way to eat on her own. Her break / face is in worse shape, but she is a fighter. She now tries to follow me when I leave her alone and calls me back.
Thank you for the tip on the food it will be better than what I am using now.

It will take time to see how well the beak heals, part of it may eventually fall away or it may toughen up, hard to know at this point.

Her tongue is intact correct?

Her right eye is gone?

Do the best you can keeping her fed; I know it must be a challenge but you are doing really well taking care of her. The antibiotics are a great idea, I'm glad you had them on hand.

She sounds like a little sweetheart.

Her eye opened up. It seems to be fairly decent!!! Her tounge is intact but she only drinks out of a syringe still. The thigh wound is healing good
