Broken Beak-- please help!

is there another layer of beak under the broken part? something like that happened to my friend's rooster a few years ago, and he was fine, after it healed. use some neosporin on it to keep out infection. good luck!

Don't spend money on vet-specific glue. Use superglue, make sure you don't glue his beak shut, but that shouldn't be too hard. Put a little piece of paper in his mouth while you do it to catch a glue drip if one does fall, so you can pull the paper right away.

Tinychicky, it looks like there is a another layer under there. Like just the top layer is what is coming off. You can actually see light through it. So did your friend remover the upper "layer"? I was looking and it and even had both of my parents and my brother look at it see if it was just me or not. He is sleeping now but I am getting ready to wake him up and feed him.

Thank you all for the advice! It is greatly apperciated! Both me and my little guy thank you

So he is doing alright. We have yet to go glue it back on. He is doing a whole lot better today. He is eating and drinking on his own. He is quite spunky which is a good sign. While checking for replies this morning he decided that he wanted to try and eat the mouse on the screen and the icons

So he is back to his old self.

Thats great news and maybe he'll just heal up without any intervention, course I'd watch him closely to make sure he doesn't some how pull it all the way off,

He is gonna stay in the garage in a pet carrier. I am like a mother hen and I keep going out and checking on him. He is probably getting tired of running out there. He has also been crowing so that is another improvement
