Broken, Bumblefoot, leg mites????

The frostbitten hen is okay! Jessabelle's swelling went down so now we have the crippled sprained legged chicken Grayson! She's walking more on it which is good but for being 1 year old going on 2 in April, is the healing slow due to age?

I'm glad to hear Jessabell's frostbite has healed:)

As for Grayson, sprains can take a good while to heal. Offer her some poultry vitamins that contain B2(Riboflavin) a couple of times a week. A little extra protein like egg, tuna or meat may also help.

Okay that sounds good. But another problem... I keep losing a hen each month... last December my duck hen went missing on the 28th... January 27th was when I first noticed my hen Pepper was gone. There's no traces left... what could be taking them?

Could be fox or coyote.
Do you have a trail cam or something you can put up to see what's coming around?

Is this happening at night? Do you have a secured coop where they sleep at night?

Oh yes they go straight up. I think it's a human bc

Oh yes definitely they go up and we close them. It's odd they disappear every month around the same time. Maybe a sick person is taking them. We will put a lock on the door just in case. I count in the morning and at night and have them all still.
