Broken egg every day

Does she lay around the same time every day? Does she or your other girls sing an egg song? You could put your phone in the nest box around the time she lays to record what happens during/after. I have had to do that with my hens before to identify a trouble maker (egg pecker). But if you are gone when it occurs, not sure what to suggest to identify the issue.

Hi everyone.

I keep getting a broken egg every day basically.

I believe it is my columbian X. Haven't seen one of her eggs in a while. (I only have 4 so i know there eggs well)

She is pretty large compared to the other chickens. My 2 nesting boxes were like 12X10X10.5". Was fine for the first year (2 years old).
She has become quit big. I removed the divider of the 2 nesting boxes so its 1 big one but it still seems like it is happening.

Is she eating the egg or is it possible she is just to big and breaks it every day????

my grandma has a White Leghorn and a Sapphire Splash. the Sapphire is very polite, and just lays her egg like a normal bird.

and the Leghorn throws her egg out of the nest box. sometimes she doesn't even eat it. she just thinks we don't want omelettes, I guess.
