broken egg inside hen?? help

the 2 young ones was from a cocci outbreak. the other one was a really old girl at least 8 yr old. & then this 1 was laying soft shell eggs & had a accident & it broke inside her. but could all these diff things add up to a similar prob?

I hope you find some answers, thank goodness I haven't had to deal with that, I do have brahma hen that lays huge eggs though.

If the egg broke inside her that could have caused an infection.

I doubt any of these things are related sometimes it's just bad luck - I am sorry.

Are you providing oyster shell as well? That will help with the soft eggs. So sorry for your loss.
