Broken eggs

I went to the aviary yesterday to find a Golden pheasant egg smashed on the floor , i thought they had broken it somehow.
Today i went out there to find an egg in the adjoining pen smashed the same ,this is a bantam egg
Any help in this problem ,strange coincidence or ??????????

They might be pushing the egg out of the nesting box.

No
they dont use the nest boxes ,they just lay on the floor
